Role : AVP(Project manager)

The Global Reference Data and Controls Team is seeking a strong Associate or Vice President to contribute to process and technology instrument reference data improvement initiatives.  This role will document current state for instrument reference data processes (equities and fixed income) and incorporate the findings into recommendations for improvement initiatives.  A key criterion to success is the ability to interview operations, technology and business stakeholders to ascertain process holes and opportunities for improvement.  Business cases need to be detailed for identified opportunities.  Experience estimating cost and productivity savings in addition to softer benefits like enhanced controls is necessary.  The individual who fills this role must be comfortable creating and managing a realistic project plan and establishing an appropriate communication strategy for status and risks.  Demonstrated ability to create use cases, test cases, test results and business requirement documents will be needed.  This role requires a person who has proven his/herself to be a change agent with a high level of creative, analytic problem solving abilities.  Experience designing controlled processes with appropriate controls, metrics and KPI is essential. 

This  member of the project management team will specifically be focused on helping project resources located in India execute on required project tasks and cultivate the project management and process reengineering skill set within the existing team in India.  The individual who takes this role will need to balance the engagement of the BAU team with the already aggressive BAU agenda that exists.  The person filling this role will need to work UK hours.     

Specific responsibilities include:   

• Interview and document as-is state for process and technology components of instrument reference data
• Recommend opportunities for improvement – which have appropriate controls, reporting, KPIs and metrics
• Develop business cases and cost benefit analyses
• Integrate opportunities into agreed strategy
• Create and manage project plans for implementing strategy
• Communicate status and risks in a consistent and efficient manner
• Determine appropriate test/use cases
• Execute testing and communicate progress/results in a consistent and efficient manner

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree 
• Experience in instrument reference data related projects
• A strong understanding of operational processes, challenges and issues
• Past successes in contributing to business transformation projects
• Working knowledge wholesale credit products
• Proven project management skills
• Demonstrated stakeholder and vendor management skills
• Strong analytical and creative solutioning abilities
• Strong communications and presentation skills
• Strong organization skills with high attention to details
