Test Lead/Manager is responsible for management testing efforts, including test team, project schedules, scheduling, scooping, execution oversight, issue resolution and reporting.

 

Provides test team manager. Develops and implements CLS testing methodology for loan servicing platforms (i.e Pega PRPC, ACBS, eCLIPS, Loan IQ and VLS). Test Team responsibilities will include participation in business requirements development, review of business requirements to ensure they are clear and specific to create a test scripts, establish detailed test plans and scripts to verify system functionality and adhere to the business requirements, monitor testing standards and procedures, contribution to setting testing best practices, LOB and UAT tester coordination, training and motivation, UAT progress reporting, defect tracking, defect mitigation, risk assessment, management escalation/communication and provide signoff for CLS once testing has been successfully completed.  Managing testing quality, audit test activities prior to system production changes/upgrades, including projects and/or Enterprise Releases. Manage use of quality center and provide periodic project status reporting.  Interact with all levels of the organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate creation of the test methodology, Test Strategy, Test Plan/Calendar and execution schedule.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with technology, operations and/or the business to confirm test strategy, coming due events and create/update test calendar.
  • Attend design reviews, requirements sessions, core team meetings and/or technical team meetings, as appropriate.
  • Understand business requirements and operation’s process/procedures in order to guide development of effective test deliverables that fully test impacted business/operational groups.
  • Account selection/data conditioning.
  • Develop testing participant guide/procedures and ensure testers have appropriate user access to testing systems/regions and training to successfully execute test scripts.
  • Work closely with technology and SME/Testers to ensure complete test strategy is executed.
  • Lead test planning sessions and execution activities for CLS; Serve as the overall point person from a CLS test perspective.
  • Ensures detail test scripts using business requirements and/or use cases are created.
  • Establish standards in using Quality Center to manage requirements, defects, and/or reporting.
  • Manage tracking and resolution of defects along with the reporting of test execution results. 
  • Validate test scripts execution and defect resolution prior to providing test signoff for CLS.
  • Escalate issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Project Reporting.
  • Monthly MBR Reporting.
  • KPI/Staffing level management.
  • When appropriate, modify testing methodology to increase CLS efficiency and quality.
  • Partner with CLS and/or LOB Training Coordinators and Communications to ensure end to end operating model procedures are defined, tested and communicated to CLS.
  • Perform/Coordinate post implementation validation and signoff.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Must be an excellent team player, who is able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Manage and coach staff/testers.
  • Strong Communication skills; both written and oral.
  • Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple efforts with competing timeframes and resources.
  • Ability to consult with others in the process (strong networking skills).
  • Ability to effectively and seamlessly work with others in multiple geographic locations. 
  • Ability to anticipate and understand issues, and escalate appropriately for timely resolution.
  • Strong PC and MS Suite skills, including MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and MS Power Point.
  • Knowledge of Mercury’s Test Director/Quality Center test management tool.
  • Experience in testing Workflow Management Application, such as Pega PRPC and/or Mainframe applications.
  • Experience in testing loan accounting applications, such as ACBS, LIQ, VLS, AFS, etc.
  • Experience in developing test scripts/cases.
  • Understanding of the business needs and process.
  • Understanding/Experience in business requirements gathering, process design and/or mapping.
  • Understanding of project management disciplines and techniques.
  • Must be a self starter with ability to work independently from manager and/or team.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

 

Experience:

5+ years experience in Commercial Loan Services (Operations) and/or test manager.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Strong time management, interpersonal and people skills.
