The ISA group provides application and Infrastructure support for LOB's in EMEA, US and AP who utilise the mainframe and Unix environments.  The group is aligned to key customers and will engage with them from the earliest stages of development right through to implementation and subsequent Tier 3 support.  They are key contributors in ensuring that solutions provided for implementation have been designed to maximise efficiency and to adhere to defined processes and procedures. They provide consultancy at the design stage and active participation and ownership throughout build and test.  Production setup, implementation, provision of ongoing support and performance management are also basic functions of the position.

 

a) Design Build of Batch in Mainframe and Unix environments.

b)  This includes writing or converting JCL and JIL. Building and testing Batch schedules in conjunction with the LOB AD teams. 

ISA's are engaged in Project work and BAU.  Work Requests come in via various routes which include TRM ISALOGs,  Remedy Requests,  Emails (group mailbox) and CAN's

c) To ensure that batch schedules are run in the correct sequence to test new programs/branches/applications/connectivity.

a) Supporting UAT batch testing in the Mainframe and Unix Environments, .and preparation of code for Production implementation.  Ensuring All code meets rigorous  standards and is Operationally sound before implementation to production environments. To implement amendments to batch schedules in a timely manner.

b) Requests received from ISAs are actioned according to department working practices.

c) To ensure that changes are made in line with customer requirements.

a) .  Support of ISA Infrastructure tools such as Jobscan,  JEM, ISALOG's  and Connect Direct. 

b).   Liaison with Vendor, and support groups within GTI,  utilizing product knowledge and technical skills such as REXX.

c).    To support LOB,  offering automation to deliver projects and other workload within tight deadlines.

a) The Preparation of JCL, CA7 and JIL code for Production implementation,  and perform Quality Checks. 

b)   Using Conversion tools and Validation tools such as Jobscan, and JEM, and some cases manual conversions of JCL or JIL. All changes reviewed by 3rd Party prior to Implementation.

c) Ensure all code meets rigorous  standards and is Operationally sound before implementation to production environments.
